june of that same year took away most of the things I enjoyed
so I went to Jerrys Music and Purchased a bass guitar. It's a
goofy looking Westone and I still have it. I had no frickin idea
what to even do with it but....I HAD A DREAM!
I Wanna Rock, It would not be long and this silly little dream would come true. Early on I joined a band called Noindication which sparked a musical friendship between Todd and myself...we have done just about every type of music over the years...including..Metal, Thrash, Hardcore, Death Metal, Punk, Modern and Classic Rock.
My influences include: John Menor and Josh Pappe' of D.R.I., John Deacon of Queen, Doug Wimbish of Living Colour, Cliff Butron (rip), Jason Newsted, and Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Les Claypool of Primus, Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse, and countless unknown bass players who go unnoticed.
When I heard a 5 string bass it was a "gotta have that" moment. I now have five of them. Two of them are "one-off customs" built for me to my specs by Michael Dolan Custom Guitars.
Being an Ampeg amp lover for years I have tried damn near every amp on the market and let me tell ya...nothing else sounds like an Ampeg, I have fooled myself into thinking something else was better.....I was Wrong. Although at this very moment a Peavey Tour 450 has become my rig.
What makes me tick.....pretty simple. Guns, Guitars, and Radio Controll Cars.
I have become very involved in hobbies to keep my mind focused on something other than how much it sucks to spend the rest of my life sitting down. Being in a band that can produce 125 decibles can take your mind off anything.
